Position: EDI Systems Architect & Administrator.
Location: Milwaukee, WI.
Duration: 3-6 months.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
This position is primarily Responsible for Architectural Decisions and Administration of the EDI System. This Role will Require working Closely with the Infrastructure Team. The EDI Environment are Migrating Globally and this Position may Require Travel to Global locations Occasionally. The Initial Focus for this Role will be to Assist in EDI Changes Related to the Global SAP Migration.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
(i) Project Management
• Manages projects related to Migration, Upgrades, Patches for the EDI and Dependent systems.
(ii) Release Manager
• Organizes, directs, and manages Activities for Building and Maintaining Software Releases for their Promotion to the Production Environment.
• Directs Activities to Ensure the Software Products meet quality Standards and Performance Objectives.
• Creates a Release Schedule and Ensures all Changes are Scheduled and Approved before Moving into Production Environment.
• Gate Keeper for the Production Environment.
• Creates and Enforces Release Processes and Procedures on Development and Maintenance Activities.
(iii) System Administrator
• Managing the Sterling Integrated Environment (which Typically Involves Installing and Upgrading Software)
• Develop and Maintain Installation, Configuration and Recovery Procedures.
• Contribute to and Maintain System Standards.
• Perform Daily System Monitoring, Verifying the Integrity and Availability of all Hardware, Server Resources, Systems and key processes, Reviewing System and Application logs, and Verifying Completion of Scheduled jobs such as Backups.
• Perform Regular Security Monitoring to Identify any Possible Intrusions.
• Maintains user Accounts in all EDI Environments.
• Identifies Root cause and Fix for System Related Issues.
• Analyze the IT Environment to Detect Critical Deficiencies, and Recommend Solutions for Improvement.
• Setups Different Communication Based on Business Need.
(iv) Lead Architect
• Participates in all Design Discussions and Provides High level Design Inputs.
• Approves all Designs Before Initiating Development.
• Develops Business Processes, Configures SI Services and Adapters.
• Performs Code Review Before Movement into Production.
• Understand the latest Developments in Related EDI Technologies.
• Document all Application Architecture Design and Analysis work.
REQUIREMENTS:
Skills and Credentials:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Equivalent Experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of Experience Development Experience with Sterling Integrator (Previously called GIS)
• Knowledge on all Components Related to Sterling Integrator. (Mapping, Business Process, clustering, Communications like AS2, OFTP, SFTP etc)
• Experience in Managing Projects Related to Migration and Infrastructure Projects.
• Ability to Translate Business Needs Into Application Architecture Requirements.
• Working knowledge on Oracle Database and Unix platform.
• Understanding of SAP as it Related to Interfacing with EDI (Example: IDOC/ALE/BAPI)
• Basic understanding of Network.
• Good written and verbal Communication skills.
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to Apply Multiple Technical Solutions to Business Problems.
• Previous Experience with High Availability Environment.
