Construction professionals who have a good understanding of the science of claims are valuable assets to their employers because they can increase the profitability of projects. Even in times of recession, there is a constant demand for skilled professionals in this field.

We offer construction claims training by way of a two-day intensive training course. The course, accredited by the Qsi and CICES, is designed to provide a foundation for the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare, present, respond to and manage claims in an effective and professional manner.

The course is presented through a series of modules, which include:

• Contract Administration
• Types of Claim
• Claim Strategy
• The Preliminaries to a Claim
• The Essential Elements to a Successful Claim
• Responses
• Disputes
• Claim Preparation and Presentation

Each module concludes with a case study which the attendees are required to examine in groups and present their findings to the class for discussion. Attendees may also complete an assignment within 30 days of the course date and submit it for assessment. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance and those who opt to complete with the assignment will receive a certificate detailing this. The 2 day training course will provide approximately 16 hours of tuition and if a student completes the optional assignment, this will approximately take another 20 hours of work, total 36 hours. Both are reflected as CPD hours on the certificates.

Cost for the course is US$ 1,360
