Have a look at PMBOK Guide. There you can find explicitly the different
objectives for Project, Program and Portfolio Management.
Resuming:
Portfolio management should assure, the Projects and Programs are and stay
aligned with organizational strategy;
Program management should search to increment the benefits, the
organization expects from the products, the projects promise to deliver
Project Management focuses on delivering the products, the project was
created for, in a timely manner, in budget, quality and scope, respecting
the companies risk acceptance profile and making the client and other
stakeholders as happy as necessary for to keep the project viable.

Hi,

I just finished reading chapter 2 of PM-BOK (Rita).

The project objectives are mentioned in the page no: XX,

I was wondering what are the program and portfolio objectives? are these the
same as project objectives, because the program is the group of projects and
portfolio is the group of programs.
