Fwd: PMHUB-G One CAPM LL might explain this mystery

I received this mail addressed to my e-mail address. The mail from a PMP Aspirant confirmed my statement that probably PMI mixed up PMBOK 3rd and 4th ed in the new exam. This exam is supposed to be based on PMBOK 4th ed after June 2009. However PTOSCO (a CAPM now) in his LL tell us that PMI mixed PMBOK 3rd ed and PMBOK 4th ed terms and ITTO in the new exam.

The PMHUB member below failed his exam - unforunately because he really believe the new exam will be based on PMBOK 4th ed. However many aspirants seem to know and this explain why so many clicked this article: Summary of PMBOK 3rd edition vs PMBOK 4th edition & references

It took me almost  3 months to know why (until I reviewed PTOSCO's LL: PTOSCO: Passed CAPM (4th ed PMBOK) Sept 12, 2009: LL for publication (it was posted last Saturday Sept 12 in PMHUB's CAPM Forum)

Here is the e-mail I received (the name and e-mail address is kept confidential since the member sent his e-mail ONLY  to me personally)

"This is to confirm that the above mentioned statement is very probably true. I have taken my PMP exam last Thursday. I have noticed during the exam that the exam questions were based upon mainly the PMBOK 3rd edition and not the PMBOK 4th edition as I expected. I failed my exam.

All my critical path diagrams were activity on arrow and not activity on node type. There were questions cited "preliminary scope statement" and some so called "mock activity" or "dummy activity". I also found several questions which were not aligned with PMBOK 4th edition.

I scheduled my exam on 27 June, 2009. for 10 September 2009. As far as I know the PMBOK 4th Edition PMP exams are valid after 29 June 2009. My entire PMP Exam preparation was based upon the PMBOK 4th edition. I used Rita's PMP Exam Prep Sixth edition. I followed a 4 month long PMP Prep-class. I am going to take the PMP Exam as soon as possible but would like to have your expert opinion whether I made a mistake or Prometric, or PMI or I misunderstood something and it would happen with everybody who scheduled before 29 June, 2009? Yes it seems that PMP is using both PMBOK 3rd ed and PMBOK 4th ed terms in the exam"

I have been wondering wy in the last 3 months - this article is always one of the most read:article.
Not only within PMHUB, this artcile was referred by other blogs and also by PMI France.

The subject of the article is:
Summary of PMBOK 3rd edition vs PMBOK 4th edition & references

Tonight I guess I know the reason why. It seems that PMP is using both PMBOK 3rd ed and PMBOK 4th ed terms in the exam.

This LL provide the details and you better read this :-) or else (or protest PMI for the usage of both PMBOK in one exam)
